vacuum forming & plastic fabrication
Plastic sheets are heated to a mouldable temperature, then stretched onto a pre-created mould and vacuum-pressed against it to take on the desired form.
This is a canister base for the motor industry in the making. Heat bending and jigging forms the largest part of this manufacturing process.
Fabricated parts which is manufactured by laser cutting, bending and gluing of Perspex and Acrylics. These are all point-of-sale items for the cosmetic industry used on counter displays and shelf accessories
Some examples of finished products that we manufacture through vacuum forming, bending and fabrication. Examples include Cabinets for the protection of fire Extinguishers; lenses for the mining industry; ATM machine covers and parts; Custom Packaging; Wall cladding for the Architectural industry; Canister bases for the motor industry
The Extingui-mate cabinets were designed for the Fire and safety industry which offers an alternative to Metal and Fiberglass cabinets. They are aesthetically pleasing and are often specified by Architects for the use in public areas.
The cabinets are made from UV stable plastic material with high impact resistance. It is dust and water resistant and it promotes equipment awareness
Vacuum forming is the process where plastic sheets are heated and formed over a mould.
The Extingui-Mate Product Range
This client manufactures specialised products for the non-destructive testing industry and they needed custom packaging for their products. We designed, tested and vacuum formed their custom packaging inners.
Our client wanted to replicate a bottle of liquor for display purposes. We vacuum formed the plastic and then masked and sprayed it to give it the liquid colour.

SILICONE SOFT MOULDS & CASTING
Soft cast moulding is a process which uses silicone to make flexible moulds for easy release of parts. Complete 3-dimensional items can be manufactured using this process. Typical applications are for R&D and small production runs.

After the resin is casted into the soft moulds, it needs to cure and can then be de-moulded
Casting of a large mould for the mining industry. These parts were used to replicate the bottom of a mine chamber in their training facility
We also use our mould making and casting skills to produce custom gaskets and seal. Food safe and in any colour for the automotive and food industries.
CUSTOM BESPOKE CONSTRUCTION
A few examples of larger custom pieces we’ve created for clients
Public restroom doors at the Rand Steam shopping centre, depicting the initial washery before the shopping centre was built. The wooden doors were CNC cut and painted by hand.
Signage made from steel and aged with a chemical process to make it look rusted. The lettering on top of the water tower in the back was made using the same process.
A large ashtray looking like a cigarette, indicating the smoking area at the shopping centre. Made from steel and stencil painted with automotive paint.
WINDOW DISPLAYS
Retail store window displays are custom made for client campaigns. Upon completion of manufacture, we do the local on-site installations and ship collateral to the rest of the regions for installation.
